About

Welcome!Lois at Fort smith I have been wet and needle felting for 7 years under the name of Tuckamoor Wildcrafts. My art is inspired by the North specifically, and nature in general. I design and make designer pillow covers, popular bookmarks, wall-art and some soft sculpture, as well as functional pieces like scarves, slippers, mittens, and felted mitten harnesses. You will see lots of trees, sunsets, fullmoons, ravens, ptarmigans, lakes and oceans in my work.  I  constantly seek out opportunities to learn from other felters and artists in general.

The three dimensional, soft to the touch quality of wool tapestries and projects is addictive! Above all, I enjoy teaching felt-art to children and adults in workshops from 2 hours to 2 days.  I am accomplished seamstress and landscape designer and I love pottery. An army wife, who gets to live in many parts of Canada with my fun husband Rich and three children, Nick, Gabe & Sorcha, I am originally from Newfoundland and an ornamental horticulturist by trade.

Thanks for Visiting!

Lois
